JOHN CANTERBURY Jr.
A service for John V. Canterbury Jr. of Novato will be held Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at his home.
Canterbury, 60, died Monday after a long illness.
A native of Oklahoma, Canterbury had lived in Marin County for the last 12 years. He was a real estate agent with Sthymmel Realty firm of San Rafael.
Canterbury served as a Navy fighter pilot during World War II and was a veteran of Pearl Harbor.
He was a member of the Lions Club, the Marin County Board of Realtors and the Building Industry Association.
He is survived by his wife, Anne C. Canterbury; three sons, John V. Canterbury III, of Dana Poiint, Orange County, Christopher S. Canterbury of Novato and Allan Ector of San Rafael; one daughter, Christie King of Durham, N.C., and his mother, Clare Canterbury of Howard, Kan.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
