Lenora Peacock
A memorial service for Lenora Peacock, a lifelong resident of Point Reyes Station, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Olema.
She died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1987, at the University of California at San Francisco after a short illness. She was 35.
She was born in San Rafael and raised in Point Reyes Station, where she lived the rest of her life.
Mrs. Peacock was a riding instructor and horse trainer. She gave riding instructions at the Bear Valley horse stables in Point Reyes Station.
She was a 4-H leader in Point Reyes, leading the equestrian group.
She attended local schools in West Marin and graduated from San Francisco State University, where she majored in journalism and education.
She taught elementary school before becoming a horse trainer.
Survivors are her husband, Wayne Peacock of Point Reyes Station; her father, George DeMartini of Point Reyes Station; and a sister, Ronalda DeMartini of Point Reyes Station.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Halleck Creek Handicapped Riding Club of Nicasio.
