MARIANA L. RAMIREZ
In first grade

Mariana Louisa Ramirez, a first grader at Coleman School in San Rafael, died in a traffic accident Sunday, Oct. 28, 1990. She was 6.

Mariana was born and lived in San Rafael.

Her classmates at Coleman said they liked Mariana because she made them laugh and would help them if they had trouble. She was just beginning to read and had lost a bottom front tooth.

She is survived by her mother, Lourdes Ramirez of San Rafael; her grandmother, Mariana Soriano Ramirez of San Rafael; her great grandmother, Mercedes Granados of San Francisco; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.

Visitation at the mortuary is noon to 9 p.m. today.
