Arnold E. Walters Dies At 64

Arnold E. Walters of San Francisco, owner of the Dolores Company Marinello Schools of Beauty in San Rafael and San Francisco, died unexpectedly at his home yesterday. He was 64.

Born in San Francisco, he lived there all his life.

When he was 16, he began helping his mother run a beauty salon in the Mission District of San Francisco. Within 10 years he operated several schools for beauticians.

He left the business during World War II to serve in the Air Corps. He reached the rank of lieutenant colonel before retiring.

Walters had many real estate interests and was a founder and director of the First San Francisco Bank.

He belonged to the San Francisco Press Club.

He is survived by his wife, Harriette.

Rosary for Walters will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at Halsted and Co., 1123 Sutter Street, San Francisco. Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Old St. Mary’s Church, California Street and Grant Avenue, San Francisco.
