BOY FALLS INTO WATER AND IS DROWNED

While his father worked within fifty feet of him, little Milton Verhalen, the five-year-old son of Joseph Verhalen of Sausalito, drowned in that place last Sunday afternoon. The boy had wandered away to play and had climbed into a boat which was tied to one of the wharves. He was not missed until supper time when a search was made for him. It was not until the next day that his body was recovered within a few feet of the boat.

Coroner F. E. Sawyer went to Sausalito Monday morning to hold the inquest. The body was sent to San Francisco on the same day and was cremated on Wednesday at Mount Olivet cemetery.
