JAY B. SAMSON

Jay B. Samson of Tiburon died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1989, at his home in Tiburon after a 3 1/2 year battle with lung cancer.

Mrs. Samson was born in New York, He was a graduate of Fordham University and St. John’s Law School, and was admitted to the New York Bar.

In 1965, after 20 years in both research and sales at Merrill-Lynch, he became director of investment management at Blair and Co. He later was president of the Samson Fund, from which he retired in 1987.

He lived in New York, Lausanne, Switzerland, and Santa Rosa before moving to Marin in 1986.

Among his hobbies was duplicate bridge.

Mr. Samson is survived by his wife, Susie Samson, of Tiburon. The couple had been married for 28 years.

Graveside services will be held in Memphis, Tenn.

Memorial contributions are preferred to Hospice of Marin.
