BESSIE EDWARDS

The funeral for Bessie Edwards of Greenbrae, formerly of Sausalito, will be held at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.

Mrs. Edwards, 83, died Monday at a local convalescent hospital after a long illness. She was 83.

She was born in Korez in the Soviet Union. She was a homemaker and retired dressmaker.

She had lived in Sausalito for about 50 years before moving to a convalescent hospital in Greenbrae. Her late husband, Leslie G. Edwards, died in 1947.

She has no survivors in her immediate family.

Visitation will be at the funeral chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Private burial will be at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma.
