CHARLES W. BUTLER

A memorial service for Charles Willis Butler of Mill Valley will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo.

Butler died Wednesday in a San Francisco convalescent hospital.

He was born in Miles City, Mont. He lived in Mill Valley for 34 years. He was a salesman for an industrial engineering firm. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and was a member of Naval Alumni Association.

He and his wife, Dorothy, were married for 50 years. She died in May 1978.

He is survived by a son, Charles William Butler of Loomis, Placer County, and two grandsons.

Burial will be in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Wash. The family prefers memorial gifts to the Arden Woods Benevolent Association, 400 W. Portal, San Francisco.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Charles Donald and David Nelson Butler of Sacramento.
