EUGENE MALVINO

A Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene Malvino of Santa Rosa, father of Marilyn Hunter of Terra Linda, will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Eugene’s Cathedral, Santa Rosa.

Malvino died Sunday at a Santa Rosa hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 76.

A native of Italy, he had come to the United States as a teenager and settled in Santa Rosa 50 years ago.

Malvino had worked many years as a painting contractor. He retired in 1968. He was a member of St. Eugene’s Cathedral.

He is also survived by his wife, Julia Malvino of Santa Rosa; a son, Gene J. Malvino of Santa Rosa; a brother, Luigi Malvino of Buenos Aires; a sister, Angioletta Bellotti of Italy; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Daniels Chapel of the Roses, Santa Rosa. Intombment (sic) will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa.

The family prefers contributions be made to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, 1165 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, 95405, or to a favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the Jan. 22nd paper says he was the grandfather of Michael Malvino of Santa Rosa,Melissa Pile of Washington, Marc Malvino of Santa Rosa, Marion Schweisthal of Reno, Mari Malvino, Marisa Malvino, Matthew Malvino, Mario Malvino, all of Santa Rosa, Dan Hunter of Santa Clara, Andrew Hunter of Los Angeles, Joseph, Tom and Kirk Hunter, all of Terra Linda; great grandfather of Alavean and Ronnie Malvino, both of Santa Rosa.
