MABEL C. TIEDMAN
Mabel C. Tiedman, 90, of San Rafael died Tuesday at a local convalescent hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Tiedman was the widow of Herman Tiedman, a retired grocer and a former county commissioner [of] Burleigh County, N.D.
She and her husband formerly operated small businesses including grocery stores in Oakland and Elsinore, Riverside County. There were married in Bismarck, N.D., and moved to California in 1943. Mrs. Tiedman had been a resident of Marin since 1964. She was a native of Hopkins, Minn.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Olson of Corte Madera, and Isobel Jane Kaye of Denver, Colo.; a son, Richard L. Tiedman of Apple Valley, Minn.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael
