Passing of John Loustanau, Novato, Mourned by Many
John Loustanau, beloved Novato personality and a resident of that town for forty years, was borne to his last resting place Monday following last rites held in the mortuary of Keaton and Dusel.
Born in France 74 years ago, Loustanau came to the United States at an early age. He acquired valuable property holdings among them being what is know as Loustanau’s Hall, where many public gatherings are held. Years ago he served on the Republican Central Committee. His likeable personality attracted hundreds of friends.
He was the husband of Mrs. Alice Loustanau and the brother of Harry Loustanau of San Bruno and Mrs. A. Fredericks of San Francisco. He was a member of Novato Grove of Druids, Novato Council, I. D. E. S. I. and Petaluma Aerie of Eagles.
