Ex-Belvedere Woman Dies In San Francisco
Mrs. Emma Cross, a longtime Bay Area resident who fled San Francisco during the 1906 earthquake to make her home in Belvedere, died this week. She was 86.
Mrs. Cross is the widow of Thomas Cross, who for many years was associated with the Southern Pacific railroad in Tiburon. She died in San Francisco where she recently had made her home.
She is survived by her sons, E. R. MacDonald of Novato, Donald H. MacDonald of Caldwell, Idaho, Leonard, Alfred, and Clarence Cross of San Francisco; daughters, Mrs. Florence Smith and Mrs. Gladys Darby of San Francisco, and by a foster son, Captain Charles Clarkson of Novato.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
