ALFIO COLOMBO
Alfio Colombo, 77, a retired stockman for the Northwest Pacific Railroad, died Tuesday at his home in San Rafael after a long illness.
Colombo had worked for the railroad for 46 years.
He was a native of Casenuove, Italy, who had been a resident of Marin since 1920.
Colombo was a member of Club Italia and the Marin Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Genevieve Colombo and Marion Wakefield, both of San Rafael; a son, Leslie Colombo of Milwaukee, Wis.; a brother, Camillo Colombo; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Raphael’s Church, San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the husband of the late Jennie Colombo, and grandfather of Sharon Johnson and Laura Wakefield.
