WILLIAM RAUTIO
Funeral for William C. (Bill) Rautio of San Rafael, a custodian for the city’s schools, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
Rautio, 51, died Monday in a local hospital after a sudden illness.
He was a native of Belt, Mont., and had lived in Marin 18 years, residing at 225 Alpine Street. For the past eight years he had worked as a custodian for t he San Rafael School District. He was a member of the California State Employees Association.
Rautio is survived by his wife, Annette; two daughters, Diana A. Bachelor of Sacramento and Myra A. Yerion of Forest Knolls, and three sons, Robert V. Andrus and Gordon E. Andrus, both of San Rafael, and Keith B. Rautio, U.S. Army, of Colorado. He is also survived by six sisters, three brothers and six grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
