Mabel Berringer
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday for Mabel V. Berringer of San Rafael, who died Thursday in a San Francisco hospital. She was 89.
A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, she had lived in California for 37 years and in Marin County for the past two years.
She is survived by her son, Leon R. Berringer, of San Rafael, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Nazareth House. A Rosary will be recited in the chapel tomorrow at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be sent to Nazareth House.

A Death Notice in the same paper provides conflicting information:
“…beloved wife of Leon R. Berringer, loving mother of Grantley H. Berringer of San Rafael, devoted grandmother of Mrs. Catherine Lago of Novato, Grantley R., Susan C. and Michael J. Berringer of San Rafael, loving great-grandmother of James J. Fenton of Novato.”
