Mrs. Saultry Dies In Local Hospital

After an illness of several weeks, which began with a stroke of paralysis, Mrs. Eva Mary Saultry, wife of Daniel D. Saultry, passed away Friday morning. The death was particularly sad, as the relatives and friends of the suffering woman were under the impression that she was recovering rapidly, when a second stroke came, followed by death in half an hour.

Mrs. Saultry had many friends in San Rafael, where she had resided for about eleven years, since her arrival here from Denver. She was an active member of Noyo Council No. 104 and also belonged to the Past Pocahontas Association of San Francisco. She had been a member of Woodwardia Circle of San Rafael for some time. Members of the two orders attended the funeral held Sunday afternoon from the Eden parlors on Fifth street.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Saultry leaves a son, Daniel D. Saultry, Jr., employed in the U.S. Mail service, and two sisters and a brother in Chicago. She was born in Burr Oak, Michigan, 49 years ago.
