CHARLES W. ROSENBAUM
Charles W. Rosenbaum, investment banker and retired real estate broker of San Rafael, died Friday at his home after a long illness.
Rosenbaum was a director of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of San Rafael, and was a longtime real estate broker before he retired three years ago from Parmelee Realty in San Rafael.
Previously he had been associated with the San Rafael firm of Maynard Redmond and Co. for 20 years.
Rosenbaum was a graduate of Stanford University in 1925 and a member of the Stanford Alumni Club of Marin County. He also was a member of the San Rafael Elks Lodge, the Loch Lomond Yacht Club and the San Francisco Yacht Club.
He had been active in many organizations including Campfire Girls, National Jewish Welfare Board and United Crusade.
Rosenbaum had been a resident of Marin for 41 years. He was a native of San Francisco and a member of a pioneer San Francisco family.
Surviving are his wife, Leta H. Rosenbaum of San Rafael, and two daughters, Leta Jane Sparks and Carla Ruth Rosenbaum, both of San Francisco.
At his request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. The family prefers that memorial contributions be to Hospice of Marin or a favorite charity.
