BARBARA S. REICHMUTH
Former Marin resident
Barbara Sutton Reichmuth of Calistoga, a former resident of San Anselmo, died at home Wednesday, Sept. 5, 1990. She was 73.
Mrs. Reichmuth was born in San Francisco and grew up in the city. She attended Miss Burke’s School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
In 1939, she married John McKim Reichmuth in San Francisco. They moved in 1948 to San Anselmo, where her husband served on the Town Council for eight years. He also served as mayor. They moved to Emeryville in 1972 and to Calistoga in 1977.
Mrs. Reichmuth was a member of the Junior League of San Francisco, Sunnyhills Junior Auxiliary and the Hearing Society of Marin.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Reichmuth Geisler of San Anselmo; a son, Howard Stevenson Reichmuth of Hood River, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
Her family asked that memorial contributions go to the Sunnyhills Junior Auxiliary.
Arrangements are by the Morrison Funeral Chapel in St. Helena.
