MYRTLE L. VALLEE Dies at 67
MURTLE L. VALLEE, lifetime Marin resident and longtime telephone operator, was found dead in her San Rafael home yesterday. She was 67.
Death was apparently due to natural causes, according to the coroner's office.
Mrs. VALLEE was found by her son who was called after she failed to report for work at Marin General Hospital at 1 p.m.
Born in San Francisco, Mrs. VALLEE lived all her life in Marin. Her home was 102 West Street.
She retired from the Pacific Telephone Co. two years ago after working there 35 years. For the past two years she had worked as a telephone operator at the hospital.
She was a member of the Ladd Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Giant Booster Club.
Mrs. VALLEE is survived by two sons, Robert A. of San Anselmo and John L. of San Rafael; a brother, Walter J. MANN of San Rafael; two sisters, Mae MORRISSEY of San Francisco and Gertrude VENITZ of San Rafael and 9 grandchildren.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael's Church, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Keaton Chapel, San Rafael.
