DOMINICK T. MADDALONI of San Rafael, owner of a San Francisco book binding service in San Francisco, died yesterday in a Daly City Hospital after a long illness. He was 61.

MADDALONI owned the Fast Service Bindery for 16 years, and had been in the binding business since the age of 16.

A native of New York, he came to the Bay Area after his discharge from the Army Air Corps in 1945. He served four years in the South Pacific.

He came to San Rafel 14 years ago with his wife, Wubbiena MADDALONI, and the couple settled at 499 Miller Creek Road.

MADDALONI was a former member of the Marin Country Club in Novato, member of the Marin Rod and Gun Club in San Rafael, and a member of the Lowrie Yacht Club in San Rafael.

He was a member of the Printing Industry of Northern California Employers Association and a member of Book Binders Union Local 3 in San Francisco.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cecelia COSTA of San Rafael, and Catherine ILLIANO of Brooklyn; a sister Margaret RINALDI of Brooklyn; two brothers, Dan MADDALONI and Salvatori MADDALONI, both of Brooklyn, and 5 grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Isabella's Church in Terra Linda. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
