HENRY B. LANE of Ross, formerly general manager of San Rafael General Hospital, died yesterday at a Yountville Napa County Hospital. He was 58.
LANE, a certified public accountant, managed the now defunct hospital in 1957 and 1958. He was an auditor for the federal government from 1945 to 1957.
He served as a Navy Lieutenant during World War II.
Born in San Antonio, TX, he moved to San Francisco as a boy and to 10 Fernhill Avenue, Ross, in 1945.
He attended the University of Texas for two years.
Surviving are his wife, Sally B. LANE of Ross; 3 sons, Dr. Clinton LANE of the Navy, Dr. Barton LANE of New York City University Hospital, and attorney Denison LANE of Kodiak, Alaska; a daughter, Mrs. Richard W. KIRBY of Stockton; also two grandchildren, Sean and Sheila KIRBY of Stockton.
Recitation of the Rosary will be tomorrow at 8 p.m. in Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
