ALVIN F. NOEL
San Rafael native
Alvin F. “Gus” Noel of Petaluma, a native of San Rafael, died Dec. 21 in Petaluma. He was 81.
He was a graduate of San Rafael High School.
He operated a chicken ranch and was proud to be the owner of the first automated “egg washer” in California.
He also owned the Black Point Inn in the Black Point area of Novato. In addition, he worked for 19 years for DeMello Roofing Company.
He moved to Petaluma in 1973.
Mr. Noel’s hobbies included motorcycles, airplanes and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Noel of Petaluma; his children, Sandra Morgado of Vallejo, Renee Noel of Santa Ana, Doug, Rod and Phil Jerve, all of Novato, Larry Jerve of Petaluma and Susan Velloza of Inverness; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. His daughter Laura Wynns died earlier.
Friends are invited to attend graveside services at 11 a.m. Jan. 4 at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma.
