JOHN CLARK Is Taken By Death At Home Here

Stricken by paralysis a week ago, John Clark, prominent San Rafael man, died Monday at his home on Lincoln avenue.

Born 72 years ago at Los Gallinas, Clark had resided in Marin County all his life. He conducted a contracting business here for many years. Interested in civic activities, Clark was a member of the City Council for terms. (sic)

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Frances Clark, who had been in ill health for several years; four (sic) daughters – Miss (sic) Minnie Quigley, Mrs. Henrietta Erskine and Mrs Aileen Vernon – and four sons – Harold, Robert, John and George Clark; two brothers, Val D. Clark of Novato and Charles C lark and four sisters – Mrs. C. Pacheco, Mrs. Mary Ringot, Mrs. Frances Clover and Miss Mae Clark.

He was a member of Mira Monte Camp, Woodmen of the World.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at St. Raphael’s Church, where a requiem mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul.
