ARTHUR JOHN LORING
Navy captain

Arthur John Loring died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 1990, at Letterman General Hospital at the Presidio of San Francisco, after a long illness. He was 80.

He was a retired captain in the dental corps of the Navy.

Capt. Loring was a resident of San Rafael for 30 years. He was a native of Minnesota.

He attended Minnesota State University and graduated with a degree in dentistry.

Capt. Loring is survived by his wife, Charlotte F. Loring of San Rafael; a son, Douglas M. Loring of San Rafael; three sisters, Ann Ziemer and Ella Luby, both of Minneapolis, and Myra Rochester of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

No services will be held. Capt. Loring’s ashes will be scattered at sea.

Arrangements were handled by The Neptune Society of San Rafael.
