William Spaulding
William H. Spaulding Jr., of Mill Valley, died yesterday at home after a short illness. He was 45.
He was a native of California and lived in Marin County 43 years.
For the past 16 years, he was a partner in the Morris Roofing Co. of Corte Madera.
Spaulding attended Tamalpais High School and for 10 years operated the Spaulding Tree Service in Mill Valley and Belvedere.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a past member of the Greenbrae Rod and Gun Club. He was a member of Roofers Union Local 121.
He lived with his wife, Florence, at their home at 913 South Vernal Avenue, Mill Valley.
Other survivors are a son, William, and three daughters, Eileen, Tinan and Lynn, all of Mill Valley, and a sister, Lorna S. Gentile, of Los Angeles.
Private funeral was held yesterday in Mill Valley.
Donations to the Heart Fund are preferred by the family.
