JOSEPH I. GAMBETTA
A funeral service for Joseph I. Gambetta, a native of Novato, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
The rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Tuesday, also at Keaton’s.
Gambetta died Sunday in Vallejo after a lengthy illness. He was 89.
Before moving to Vallejo, Gambetta’s family owned a ranch in the Novato area.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph R. Gambetta of Antioch and Julius Gambetta of Coarsegold, Madera County; two daughters, Dorothy Schwandt of Spicer, Minn., and Anna Schwerdtfeger of Vallejo; and one sister, Virginia Busher of Oakland.
