LUDOVICA BIGELOW

At her request there will be no service for Ludovica Bigelow, 65, of Larkspur, well-known as a bridge player.

Miss Bigelow died Tuesday at a local hospital after an illness.

She was active in duplicate bridge circles for more than 25 years and was one of Marin’s first life masters, the highest ranking in bridge.

Miss Begelow operated the Wednesday afternoon and Saturday night bridge sessions at the Crossley Bridge Center at the Greenbrae Boardwalk.

She was one of the founders and past-president of the Marin Chapter of the American Contract Bridge League and a member of the National Goodwill Committee of the league.

Miss Bigelow was a native of Sonoma who had lived in the Bay Area all her life and was a resident of Marin for 35 years.

She graduated from Miss Burke’s School in San Francisco and was a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross during World War II.

Surviving is her brother, James Bigelow of Sonoma.

Inurnment will be at Bahia Valley Memorial Park, Novato.
