NORMAN LAWRENCE REGNART
Born in 1934 to Roy & Sally Regnart, passed away peacefully at his home on May 3, 2002 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Sheila, to whom he was a loving and devoted husband. They were, in their youth and always, childhood sweethearts. He was also a loving brother to his sister, Suzanne Regnart. A devoted and caring father & grandfather, he will be deeply missed by his children, their spouses and his 12 grandchildren - Norman & Jeri Regnart, and their children Chris, Rebecca, Nick and Matty; Cindy and Steve Jordan and their children Sarah, Andrew, Rachel and Dan; Carol and Franco Lofreddi and their children Ashley, Holly, Elyssa and Sabrina. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Michael, and we are comforted knowing he is able to be with him again. He will be deeply missed as well by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Shirley Ray, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a long-time resident Teamster for Borden's Milk Company in San Francisco, and often remarked that he truly enjoyed his working experiences as a milkman. He also worked as a credit manager for Borden's until they closed their Bay Area branch. Subsequently he worked for Western Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, and Southern Pacific Land Company as a credit manager. He loved to read, he was a historian, and looked forward to fishing trips with his childhood friend, Bob Novello. He was a 49'er fan to the core and loved baseball too; he was a Little League coach when his children were young and enjoyed attending the games of his grandchildren. But the most important thing to Norman was family, and what he loved the most, was when they all gathered at the table, laughing and sharing stories. There are no words to truly express how much he will be missed by his family & friends. Friends are invited to attend a rosary service Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at 7 P.M. and a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 12:30 P.M. at St. Rafael's Church, 1104 Fifth Ave., San Rafael. Memorial contributions are preferred to St. Jude's Children's Research Center. Keaton's Mortuary (415)453-0571.
