ARTHUR VALENTINE JR.
A memorial service for Arthur Leon Valentine Jr., onetime Marin resident, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Valentine, 41, died of injuries suffered in an auto accident Monday in Richmond. Officials said his car struck a concrete pipe at about 4 p.m.
Valentine was born and reared in San Rafael. At the time of his death he was living in San Pablo. He was a merchant seaman and also had worked as a butcher and a bartender.
Surviving are his son, Jay Valentine, who is serving with the Navy; his mother, Eleanor Eckles of Butte County; and his sister, Gwendolyn Brown.
Burial will be in Bahia Valley Memorial Park, Novato.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that he was the son of the late Arthur Leon Valentine.
