Fairfax Clubwoman Passes Away Sunday
Mrs. LOUISE MULLINS of Deer Park, wife of Robert W. Mullins, Fairfax Police Commissioner, passed away Sunday morning, January 13th, after an illness of several months, which developed into pneumonia.
Mrs. MULLINS and her family have lived in Deer Park for over 20 years, the deceased having taken an active part in establishing the Community Church.
A past president of the Dorcas Society, charter member of teh Fairfax Woman's Club and a member of the Executive Board of the organization for several years past, Mrs. MULLINS has been very active in club welfare.
Up to the time of her death, she had been an executive officer of the club and one who had always taken a willing part in the Fairfax community and in all civic activities.
Mrs. MULLINS is survived by her husband, Robert MULLINS and 3 children, Miss Louise GROSBAUER, Leslie GROSBAUER, Secretary of the Volunteer Fire Department, of the Park Trustees, and of the Fairfax Lighting Commission; and Frederick GROSBAUER of Sacramento, and one sister, Mrs. Flora MONTIETH of Fairfax.
As a mark of respect to the deceased, both the Fairfax Woman's Club and the Volunteer Fire Department, at meetings held that week stood for an interval with bowed heads and resolutions of condolence were ordered sent to the family.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the parlors of Keaton and Dusel of San Rafael, with the Rev. John Canoles, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating.
