Poineer Dies at Fairfax

THOMAS G. PARKER, 81, for many years head of the Thomas G. Parker Co., a pioneer real estate firm of San Francisco, died Sunday at the home of his son, Louis T. Parker in Fairfax, after a long illness.

Parker was born in Mississippi, and came to San Francisco 55 years ago, where he operated a horse car. Later he went into the real estate business, and was the one to open the first tract in the Richmond District in 1890. In 1908 he opened the Santa Fe tract at Point Richmond.

Eighteen years ago, Parker was town clerk of Mill Valley, a position which he held for two years. He retired from business with his son since that time.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, June 26, at the parlors of Keaton and Dusel in San Rafael. Interment took place privately at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.
