GEORGE JOVICH

Private funeral was to be held in San Rafael today for George Jovich of San Rafael, a cement mason who helped build the Golden Gate Bridge.

Jovich, 76, died Wednesday in a local hospital after a long illness. He lived at 1130 Mission Avenue.

Born in Yugoslavia, Jovich came to American about 50 years ago, settling in Los Angeles. He lived in Marin about 40 years.

He was a member of the United Hercegovina Catholic Benevolent Society and Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 355 of San Rafael.

He leaves no known immediate kin.

Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
