Death Comes to A. Sandstrom

Survived by his wife, their entire family of five sons and four daughters, and 13 grandchildren, August Sandstrom died at his home at 15 Sydney street Friday at the age of 77.

A native of Sweden, Mr. Sandstrom came to the United States at the age of eight, coming to California 16 years later. For over 40 years he was employed as a marine engineer for the Northwestern Pacific railroad. The family has lived in Mill Valley for 18 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Sandstrom, their children, Mrs. Louise Cooper and Gordon Sandstrom of San Raphael, Mrs. Virginia Roberts, Ernest and Robert Sandstrom of Sausalito, Fred Sandstrom of San Francisco, Mrs. Eva Parsley of Vallejo, Mrs. Eleanor Baker and Arthur Sandstrom of Mill Valley.

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Masonic Temple by Mill Valley Lodge No. 356, F&AM, of which he was a member. Inurnment was at Cypress Lawn cemetery.
