HARRY R. HOLYOME

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Russell and Gooch Funeral Home in Mill Valley for Harry Ratcliffe Holyome who died this morning at Hill Road Convalescent Hospital. He was 71.

Holyome was a native of Essex, England and a member of the famed theatrical Kendall family. He was the cousin of the late actress, Kay Kendall.

During his youth he appeared in vaudeville and various musical comedies traveling extensively.

Later he was employed in the aircraft business for 30 years. He moved to Novato five years ago from San Diego.

In recent years he was a member of the Novato Senior Citizens’ music group, “The Merry Makers.”

Surviving are his wife, Lillian Holyome, of Novato; and his son and daughter-in-law, Kendall and Leslie Holyome, also of Novato.
