EDITH I. MILLER

Edith Inez Miller, a longtime Marin County resident, died at her San Rafael home Sunday after being in failing health for several days. She was 78.

Mrs. Miller was born in Laytonville, Mendocino County, and lived in Mendocino County until moving to Marin in 1938.

Her husband, Raymond, who died in 1965, was a longtime employee at San Quentin Prison, and they lived on the prison grounds for many years.

After his death, Mrs. Miller moved to San Rafael.

She was a member of the San Rafael Senior Citizens and Goldenaires.

Surviving are a son, Robert B. Miller of San Rafael, and a grandson, Timothy Miller of Novato.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be in the Ukiah Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. today.

The family prefers memorial contributions to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
