M. H. MARKS

Marion H. Marks, former business manager for Katharine Branson School in Ross, died yesterday in a local convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness.

Marks, 73, of 12 Skylark Drive in Larkspur, had been a 35-year resident of Marin County. A native of Portland, Ore., Marks was associated with Crown Zellerbach in San Francisco for 40 years. After his retirement he was associated with the San Rafael Medical Group before taking the job at Katharine Branson which he held from 1966 to 1969.

He was a member of the San Rafael Masonic Lodge, Sirs in Retirement, Branch No. 7 of Marin, a life member of the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco and a former trustee of the United Crusade in San Francisco. He was also a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of San Rafael where he served as treasurer for 12 years, the Marin Yacht Club and the Marin Power Squadron.

Survivors are his wife, Leslie G. Marks of Larkspur; two sons, Peter Joseph Marks of Novato and Stephen Paul Marks of Paris, France; two brothers, Arnold Marks of Arcatia and Harold Marks of San Francisco, and a grandchild.

Funeral will beat 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home in San Anselmo. Inurnment will be private. The family requests contributions to a favorite charity.
