BOY IS DROWNED IN LARKSPUR CREEK

Playing with his mother and several children of his own age on the bank of Larkspur Creek, William Lynch, aged eight years, fell into the creek and drowned before aid could reach him. The accident happened when the boy attempted to throw a large stick into the water. In some way or other he stumbled, rolling into the water. No one was able to help him and he drowned immediately. He was the son of William J. and Lucille Lynch of San Francisco and was over for the summer.

The creek was dragged for two hours before the body was finally recovered by Mr. Murphy of Larkspur. Following an inquest by Coroner Sawyer, the body was sent to San Francisco.

The funeral was held this Thursday morning and interment was in Holy Cross cemetery.
