E. BERTRAM PIKE
Construction engineer

E. Bertram Pike, a former Marin resident, died Thursday, July 26, 1990, at his home in Groveland, Tuolumne County. He was 75.


Mr. Pike was born in Pike, N.H. He lived in Marin for 20 years, moving to Groveland in 1970.

Mr. Pike received a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and a master’s degree from Stanford University.

He served in the Pacific Theater in the Army Air corps during World War II.

Mr. Pike was a construction engineer and worked for Sausalito Ship Building and Associated Dredging. He later became vice president of the Dillingham Construction Co. in Benicia. His last position was project engineer for Boise Cascade at Pine Mountain Lake, Groveland.

Mr. Pike is survived by his wife, Jo Marshall Pike of Groveland; two sons, Ted Pike of Port Hadlock, Wash., and Paul McPartland of Sonora; two daughters, Meredith Pike Baky of San Rafael and Judy Pike of Kentfield; a sister, Constance Pike Hill of Danville; and four grandchildren.

His family asked that memorial contributions go to a favorite charity.
