ALBERT A. MEYER
No funeral will be held for Albert A. Meyer, a resident of Mill Valley for more than 30 years.
He died in a San Francisco hospital March 11, after a lengthy illness. He was 86.
Retired for many years, he was active as a musician in lodge bands, and was a loyal baseball fan of the San Francisco Giants. He also loved to hike on Mount Tamalpais, his family recalled.
Meyer was born in San Francisco. He was a past member of the Columbia Park Boys’ Club and a member of the Islam Temple Band of Shrine as well as a life member of the Elks Lodge No. 593 in Aberdeen, Wash.
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Meyer, of Anaheim; a sister, Lily Meyer of Mill Valley, and a brother, Milton Meyer of San Bruno.
His ashes will be scattered at sea. The family prefers memorial contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in San Francisco or to any favorite charity.
