AGNES MENNIE
A private service has been held for Agnes Mennie, 74, of Terra Linda, who died Saturday at Marin General Hospital following a long illness.
She was a native of Texas and a resident of San Francisco for 47 years before moving to Terra Linda six years ago.
Mrs. Mennie was a graduate of Texas Women’s University. She had been employed as a dietician at Stanford University Medical Center, and St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Francisco.
She also had taught dressmaking and tailoring.
Mrs. Mennie was a founding member of the Ivanhoe Chapter of the Children’s Home Society in San Francisco, and a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Terra Linda.
She was married to A. Douglas Mennie who preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Ian D. Mennie of Sonoma; a daughter, Jean Hill of Indiana; and four grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Northern California Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, or the Children’s Home Society in San Francisco.
