CATHERINE ANNE MISFELDT
Funeral was held last week in Los Altos for Catherine Anne Misfeldt, daughter of Daniel and Dorthy (sic) Fogarty of Novato. She was 36.
She died December 15 in a Redwood City hospital following a lengthy illness.
She had attended St. Raphael’s School and Dominican Convent in San Rafael, and later studied nursing at O’Connor Hospital school of nursing in San Jose. She received a nursing degree from the University of Oregon.
She worked in several Marin hospitals and spent one year in Alaska and another year at a kidney transplant hospital in Boston.
Her husband, Dr. Dayton Misfeldt, is a physician at Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospital and Stanford University Hospital.
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters, Julie and Jennifer Misfeldt, and a son, Dayton Misfeldt, all of Los Altos; a brother, Daniel Fogarty of Novato; and two sisters, Theresa Thiele of Danville and Patricia Bringel of Orinda.
Burial was at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos.
The family prefers memorial gifts go to the Catherine Anne Misfeldt memorial fund at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Los Altos.
