MARIE JORGENSEN
A funeral for Jennie Simone Marie Mia Jorgensen, a longtime resident of Petaluma and San Rafael, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma.
Mrs. Jorgensen died Monday at a local hospital after a short illness. She was 83.
A native of Denmark, she came to the United States in 1926, first settling in Santa Cruz.
Mrs. Jorgensen moved to Petaluma in 1927 where she and her husband, Ernest A. Jorgensen, operated a poultry ranch until their retirement in 1959.
After the death of her husband in 1968, Mrs. Jorgensen moved to San Rafael to make her home at the Aldersly Danish Retirement Home.
She has no closely related survivors.
Private inurnment will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park.
