EVA A. MITCHELL
Eva Alberta Mitchell, who taught in San Rafael schools for 40 years, died Friday in a Walnut Creek hospital. She was 87.
During most of her long career she specialized in teaching kindergarten youngsters. She retired and moved to Walnut Creek some years ago.
She was born in South Pasadena. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walnut Creek,
She is survived by a niece in Arizona.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Walnut Creek.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Youth Homes Inc., 1453 Sunnyvale Ave., Walnut Creek.
