GRACE SHUMAKER
Grace Shumaker, a homemaker and onetime school teacher, died at her home in Tiburon Monday after a brief illness.
Mrs. Shumaker was the widow of Fred C. Shumaker, a retired agent, traveling auditor and accountant for the Alaska Railroad and developer of the Kenai Garden Apartments in Corte Madera.
Mrs. Shumaker was a native of Schyler, Neb., and had lived in Marin since 1950, first in Corte Madera and t hen Tiburon.
She had been a member of the Corte Madera Women’s club and the Tiburon Seniors.
Mr. and Mrs. Shumaker celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1964. Surviving are a daughter, Marion Higgins of Tiburon, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held in an Rafael.
