HARRY S. SCOTT
At his request, no funeral services will be held for Harry S. Scott, 86, a former owner of a San Rafael laundry.
He died at a local hospital Monday after a long illness.
A native of Baker. Ore., he moved to Fresno in 1921 and then later to San Anselmo in 1946 before settling in San Rafael.
He was in the laundry business for 50 years. He had owned the San Rafael Laundry, formerly at 512 Third St. in San Rafael for 15 years before retiring in 1964.
Scott was a member of the American Legion post No. 179 of San Anselmo. He was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, Milly Scott of San Rafael; a daughter, Charlene Riordan of Citrus Heights in Sacramento County; a son, John Kisling of Sonora; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley. The family prefers memorial gifts to favorite charities.
