BERNICE E. STANLEY
Private family services have been held for Bernice E. Stanley of Fairfax, widow of Leo L. Stanley, a former physician at San Quentin Prison.
Mrs. Stanley, 85, died Thursday at a local hospital.
She was a native of Santa Clara and had been a resident of Marin for 44 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Marin General Hospital and the Marin Musical Society. She was an avid horticulturist and won awards at various shows. She also was an honorary member of the Marin Historical Society and frequently was hostess to the Tamalpais Trail Riders and Thursday Musical at Crest Farms.
Surviving are a son, E. David Campbell of Sleepy Hollow and a grandson.
Inurnment was at Bahia Valley Memorial Park, Novato.
