MARION J. BEROSH

A memorial Mass for Marion J. Berosh of Larkspur, longtime restaurant owner, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Nativity, San Francisco.

Berosh died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was 79.

Born in Yugoslavia, he came to the Bay Area as a youth and for some 60 years was part owner of the widely known Mays Oyster House on Polk Street in San Francisco.

He was a member of the Slavonic Mutual and Benefit Society of San Francisco.

He is survived by his wife, Mandalina Berosh of the family home; a son, David, of Mill Valley; and brothers and sisters in Yugoslavia, Australia, Belgium and New Jersey.

A rosary was recited, and a funeral service was held today at Halsted and Co. Mortuary, San Francisco, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
