LUCILE M. LANE
Lucile M. Lane, former operator of a San Rafael nursery school, died today at a local convalescent hospital after a long illness. She was 75.
Mrs. Lane had lived in San Rafael 17 years. She and her daughter, the late Mona Girard, operated the Alouette Nursery school for many years. Girard died three years ago.
Mrs. Lane also was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence F. Lane.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Paula Spencer and G. Kenneth Girard Jr., and a nephew.
Mrs. Lane lived in San Francisco and Burlingame before moving to San Rafael.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mission San Rafael Arcangel in San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Keaton’s Mortuary.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
