Deaths
LUIGI BROVELLI, an Italian laborer employed in Gray Brothers' stone quarry near Point San Pedro, was killed in a shocking manner last Monday afternoon. Brovelli was hauling rock from beneath a steep ledge, when a boulder suddenly crashed down upon him, smashing his head to a pulp. His remains were brought to San Rafael, where an inquest was held by Coroner Sawyer last Tuesday. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death. Brovelli was only 25 years of age, and had come from Italy but 2 months ago. He is said to have relatives living in St. Helena, Napa county.
