Death of a Talented Musician
Miss Edna Proctor, the well known musician, died at the home of her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. H. P. Proctor, in this city last Sunday after a protracted illness. Deceased was born in Iowa and was twenty seven years of age. Some two years ago she came to this state and took up her residence with relatives in that place. She was a talented musician and possessed the happy faculty of making friends. During her years stay in the valley she formed a large music class and gained a reputation as a music teacher that was far from being local. About a year ago her parents came out from Iowa and took up their residence on Wolfe avenue in this city. Deceased then lived with them. After a short while ill health caused her to give up her music class. During the past seven months she had been confined to her bed. She bore the suffering without a murmur of discontent and to the very last had only smiles for the many friends who used to call upon her. The funeral took place from the residence at 2 o’clock yesterday and was attended by many friends of the family. The floral pieces were many and beautiful. The interment was at Mount Tamalpais cemetery.
